Are you sure it's not Thursday?

A fairly low key night was on the agenda here at OCT. A little scenework was the order of the day, going over and over and over lines and rough spots and polishing up a few smudgy bits and tying up a few loose ends.

While Phil and the actors went over all that onstage, Becky and Lenore were out in the lobby going over scene changes. Who will open the curtain when? Who will get this chair, that sign or someone's buttons? This was gone over, page by page, scene by scene, blackout by blackout. Notes were taken, lists made. Soon all this information will be typed up on the computer, printed out and posted everywhere backstage so that anyone who wants to know will be able to find out that Arnold's chair will be struck by Lenore at the bottom of page something something, while Kemp opens the curtain and Gene gets ready to haul the scrim to whatever position is required.

Then there was the fun of creating the sign-in sheet. Did we get everyone? Hurt feelings always happen when someone is left off the sign-in sheet. We counted the names over and over; I hope we didn't leave anyone off. Jamison pointed out we didn't put a name for the sound board operator, but I pointed out back that so far as I know we don't have a sound board op, so we don't have a name to PUT, so let me say in advance Sorry, Sound Board Op, whoever you are. I didn't forget you, I just don't know who you are.

Tomorrow Ken Mendoza is coming to take pictures. Jacob and Mike were horrified to learn that they must shave a week early so as to look right for photos. They knew they'd have to shave, but I think they were enjoying those last few days of facial hair goodness before getting rid of it for a couple of weeks.

The funniest quote of the night goes to Ron: "I have to go to WalMart and try on pots. None of the ones here fit me."
