Thursday shenanigans

Here we are, the Thursday before Easter. This is the last rehearsal we will have until Monday, so I hope you get your blog fix today. I do believe there is a work call on Saturday. The last of the walls will likely be put up then, and there's the usual cleaning to do.

I was going to interview Tammi tonight but she refused to be in the spotlight. Boo, Tammi. Our Faithful Readers are likely champing at the bit to learn about who you are.

Anyway, rehearsal tonight was interesting. It started when I went to flip on the lights and there were huge sparks all over the place. All the dimmer packs blew, so now we have no lights. The decision was made that the show would be lit entirely by candles and hand held flashlights. Jamison went to check on the sparking packs and came back down with no eyebrows. I don't want to ask.

During a very physical scene, Mike took a bad spill and last I heard, Katie took him to the hospital and he was having a cast put on his leg. On hearing this, Becca spilled Cherry Lemon SunDrop on the dresses she had pulled to try on the girls for the party scene. Then she set her shoe on fire, but that was just for fun.

What with all the chaos, tempers were running high and Jon and Jacob got into a fight. They came to blows over how they felt a scene needed to play out - Jon felt Lucien needed to be cheerier and Jacob was of the opinion that Jon could keep his ideas to himself. Then Evelyn came to someone's defense, I'm not sure who, and leaped into the fray and stabbed Jacob with a knitting needle.

While all this was going on, Ron stepped in a piece of gum that was stuck on the stage, and sat down in a corner laughing wildly while trying to get it off his sneaker. Studying the chaos, Phil became entirely frustrated, threw up his hands and resigned as director.
